For guys who have heard about this book and would like to learn more, here’s a short overview of the things I liked so you can decide if it is for you!
David DeAngelo’s book covers a lot of topics, but the ones I found most interesting were:
- being yourself
- differences between the sexes
- dispelling myths and misconceptions
Should you just being yourself?
The author stresses that men should not worry about being themselves, but they should focus on being the best self he can be. It is important that a lot of guys first learn how to be interesting to women, because when they are “just being themselves” they fail at getting women. So you need to stop being yourself for a while and learn how to get girls, then make that be your true self!
What makes the gender roles between the sexes different?
In his interesting book, Double Your Dating, David DeAngelo goes into detail and explains the differences behind men and women, and then tells the reader that a lot of guys out there are just totally confused. The media with it’s TV shows and movies have brainwashed men in our society. They believe that they need to be nice guys, or wussy boys in order to get women. That is where things start to go wrong and where problems begin. Women are attracted to guys who act like guys. However, since a lot of men are confused, they don’t know what to do and start acting like women. That’s a big part of the reason as to why some guys don’t get women, because they don’t act like a man, but instead act like women!
Misconceptions dispelled
Society has given the impression to men that in order to get women they need to be either, tall, handsome, rich or powerful. This is not true at all. The reason for this is because having these qualities in your personality shows women that men with these elements have a high social standing. To have a high social status, you don’t need to look like you have all the material items that money could buy. David DeAngelo also goes into specifics on how you can incorporate these aspects into your own persona so you don’t need to be rich, famous or a rockstar to be successful with women!
My conclusion
